Industrial Integration Systems (BlauBlum)

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are computerised systems used in manufacturing to track and document the transformation of raw materials to finished goods. MES provides information that helps manufacturing decision makers understand how current conditions on the plant floor can be optimised to improve production output. MES works in real time to enable the control of multiple elements of the production process (e.g. inputs, personnel, machines and support services). (Source: Wikipedia)
The BlauBlum division of Archeometra was born out of the challenge to create a Java-based MES platform that would directly interface with the control PLCs of large industrial plants and, compared to the current IT market offer, could be more reliable, robust, scalable and competitive. This Java-based platform has been recently integrated by acquiring components from a mature, robust, reliable and well-proven product.
A dozen infrastructures of this type are currently installed on automotive and chemical metal treatment and painting plants in the USA, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey, Serbia, Germany and Ukraine. They are offering the opportunity to gather on-site feedback and allowing the modular platform to grow and improve continuously by interconnecting multiple PLCs, including cross-brand.
A steady market demand and customer satisfaction are about to put a premature end to the beta phase, which lasted 4 years, and to leave room for a more decisive marketing of this now mature, compromise-free, statement-prone product.
